Applying for a job

Finding a job, checking the requirements, completing and sending your application.

#Finding and opening a job

On the home page, choose Explore jobs. Jobs are grouped into recruitment campaigns. Open a campaign, then open a job to read it.

Read the whole page before you apply: the job overview, who can apply, the experience and qualifications asked for, the location, and any notice about who the employer is. If PMS is recruiting for another organisation, the page says so and explains the employment arrangement.

When applications are open you will see Start application. If a job is “Coming soon”, paused or closed, you can read it but cannot apply.

#The four steps inside an application

About you
Your profile details, education and work experience. If your profile is already complete, you just check it.
This job
Questions about this particular job. You answer Yes or No and, on some jobs, add short answers.
Documents
Your CV and any other documents the job asks for. A job that asks for no documents skips this step.
Review
A summary of everything, with a Change link beside each part, and the Submit button.

Required fields are marked on screen. You cannot move on while a required answer or document is missing.

#Mandatory requirements for a job

Each job has requirements, for example a minimum qualification or years of experience. In This job you answer questions that check them.

If you do not meet one of the mandatory requirements, you cannot continue with this application and you cannot send it. The screen tells you which requirement is not met. Your profile and your saved answers are kept, so you can use them for other jobs.

If you answered by mistake, choose Change my answers and correct them. Please answer truthfully: PMS checks the documents you provide.

A few questions do not stop you from continuing. PMS may simply look at your answer more closely later.

#Saving and coming back later

Your answers save as you go. To stop, press Save & finish later. Your application stays in My applications marked In progress, and Continue application takes you back to where you were.

If you decide not to apply, open the draft and choose Discard draft. This removes the draft from your list. Your profile and saved documents stay.

A draft is not an application until you send it. If the job closes first, an unsent draft cannot be sent.

#Checking and sending your application

On the last step you see everything you are about to send. Use Change beside any part to fix it. Read the declaration, tick that you agree, and press Submit application.

After you send it, the application cannot be edited. PMS keeps exactly what you submitted, and the page you see afterwards is a copy of it. You find it in My applications with the status Application Submitted.

Sending an application does not guarantee an interview, a job offer or a reply by a particular date.

#Applying for more than one job

You can apply for several different jobs from the same account. Each job has its own application, status and documents. A new application does not create a new profile, and what happens to one application does not change another.

You cannot have two applications for the same job. If you already have one, open it from My applications instead.
